Some S’poreans swear off McDonald’s after photo experiment

It did not really irk me after reading the article "Some S’poreans swear off McDonald’s after photo experiment"(http://sg.yfittopostblog.com/2010/10/18/some-sporeans-swear-off-mcdonalds-after-photo-experiment/) on yahoo home page. In fact, I am even more disgusted by employment of schooling youths by these fast food chains.

It is not only the range of unhealthy food they have offered in their menu but the exploitation of youth below sixteen to work for them for a low wage. I wonder if this can be considered as a form of child labour. As much as fighting child labour in the third world country, Singapore should enforce stricter employment restrictions for these fast food chains due to two main reasons:

1.) These youth should spend more time in school learning
2.) Low wages do not bring about a cheaper priced menu

In my opinion, it is time for these fast food chains to exercise their social responsibility. Stop the practice of employing "schooling youth"! Don't deprive them of a future!
